THE VISION
Unite Omaha started in 2025 with a vision of bringing neighbors together! While there are a lot of great events in Omaha, relationships are often built over regular meetings held at the same time, the same place, or over the same subject. In addition to providing an up-to-date list of links to community groups on UniteOmaha.org, we also host an annual Friendship Fest where neighbors can be introduced to activities and organizations in the Omaha metropolitan area.
AUGUST 2025
Unite Omaha was founded in Omaha, NE. The idea began as a response to an increase in social media posts from people who had recently moved to the area and were wanting ways to be involved and feel connected. While there are others providing event lists there was a need for a focus on community groups and building relationships through recurring meetings and shared interests. The website was launched with a simple listing of gatherings, with plans for the email newsletter and next year’s festival already underway!
JANUARY 2026
Unite Omaha joined the Nonprofit Assocation of the Midlands.

 | Tim Bailey Founder Tim Bailey has lived in Omaha since 2016 and has a son Ben with Holly Hickman. He is the Founder of Unite Omaha and a Security Officer for Allied Universal. You can find him gardening, attending community gatherings, playing pickleball, and enjoying our beautiful Omaha parks! Tim is a member of the Garden Club of Omaha. |
